Archive of adopted animals
Over the last years APAC has found a home for many dogs and cats. Because of this, the number of pages on our website started to run into a limit and we can no longer maintain a separate web page for each adopted dog and cat.
Below we have made an overview, from mid 2019 and further back, with the former APAC animals and their stories.

Rocco - adopted May 2019
Rocco, male, about 1 year old, 9 kilos
Rocco is a cute little boy. He is a black and white Spaniel cross.
Watch his video here.

Linda - adopted Apr 2019
Linda is a young female dog. She weighs about 20 kilos.
She was found in El Campello. She was not chipped but was clean and is friendly. We notified the local police and have shared in groups but until now without result. The dog is a medium size female, probably 1,5 - 2 years old, black with a white spot on her chest and white paws. She has a short tail.
She is such a sweet and affectionate little girl. She would be much better in a foster home or forever home. Linda is responding very well to her training sessions with one of APAC's voluntee helpers.
Linda has made amazing progress with the care and dedication of her foster dad, John. She is a happy and healthy, energetic girl who is responding well to John's patient training.

Astro (now Óscar) - adopted Feb 2019
Astro, male, about 1 year old, 6 kilos.
Astro is an energetic dog. He is very cute and loves to cuddle. He is great with other dogs and loves to play.
Astro was found on 6th December 2018. He is about one year old - healthly and playful. He loves other dogs and people too.

Oscar - adopted Nov 2018
Oscar was about 8 months old when someone threw him over a garden wall, Cala d'Or, El Campello. He is a very cute and playful puppy. At the moment he is in a foster home, and he needs a forever home.

Pancho - adopted Oct 2018
Pancho is 12 years old and weighs 12 kilos.
He needs a home where he is really loved. Not like the house where he has lived until today and where they decided to abandon him. The poor thing hadn't been to a vet for years and his nails were several centimetres long. We have changed the chip to apac's name, we have vaccinated him, dewormed him and taken blood for analysis. He is confused, he doesn't know what's wrong with him but he hasn't made any bad gestures when we have cut his nails or taken blood. Now what he needs is a home where he can live until the end of his days.
Pancho was in a bit of shock when he arrived at his foster home but he is improving fast. He wags his tail when he sees his temporary mum and loves exploring in the garden. It must be a big change after living on a balcony for a long time ...

Trueno - adopted Oct 2018
Friday 24 August we took in two pups. They were found on the street a day earlier. They are labrador-mix pups of 3 months, we've called them Rayo and Trueno. Both had a lot of flees and Trueno is very skinny. He has a mark on his neck where a tight cable must have been, Rayo has an old wound on the head. Less than a day after we took them in Trueno got very ill, he did not move and did not want to eat, play or drink. We took him to the vet on call in San Juan (thanks Lola for helping us) and it was discovered that he had a fever and big painful ulcers in his mouth. He had to stay the night and this morning the fever was almost gone and he looks a bit better. His brother Ray had diarrhea so he has been treated this morning as well, both now have antibiotics. Tomorrow we will go back to the vet to check that they are both improving. We hope that soon they will be strong enough to start with vaccination and with the search for a good home. Rayo weighs 6,5 kilos, Trueno 5 kilos. They are very sweet.
Trueno is getting a little stronger each day in his foster home. But there have been some very worrying times.

Pepe - adopted Sep 2018
Pepe is about 1 year old and weighs under 4 kilos.
When we first saw Pepe he was in a very bad state. He was full of fleas, with long nails, very skinny but very friendly. He was very malnourished and anemic. He is now in quarantine in El Rey de la Casa but will soon be fit and healthy and in need of a good home.

Lola - adopted Sep 2018
Lola - small female of about 12 kilos and about 8 years old.
Lola's parents both went into hospital and they can no longer take care of her. Lola is calm, affectionate and gets along well with other dogs. In her foster home she behaves well and she likes her walks. She is vaccinated, neutered and chipped.

Lunita - adopted Aug 2018
Lunita is a young female dog. She weighs about 10 kilos.
She was found near La Font (between Campello and San Juan). She is not chipped but looks clean and is affectionate, even if she is quite skinny. The police has been informed and posters have been put up. A neighbour told the girl who found Lunita that he had seen the dogs several days before wandering around.

Aguas - adopted Aug 2018
Aguas came to APAC in 2014.She was in a very bad state, suffering from leishmania.
She has been a long time with us and she now is a different dog to the one we first knew. She is healthy and peaceful, she gets along with most other dogs and is often used in the kennels to help other dogs to chill out. She still needs some medication but is very healthy.
Aguas has been waiting a long while for the people who were going to adopt her to finalize everything but now it seems that they really do not want her.
She has been with APAC a long time and is now very happy playing with the other dogs in the kennels but she would still love a proper home of her own.

Galletita - adopted Aug 2018
Galletita has returned to us. This pup of 5,5 months was adopted from us in January. Her family has had some changes in their life and they cannot take care of Galletita anymore... Galletita has, for the moment returned to Marieta's home where she stayed in fostering several weeks when she was a small pup, with her sister and brother. Upon arrival she felt immediately at home. She is a healthy and playful female of 10 kilos and she needs a home where they will love her for the rest of her life!

Terry - adopted July 2018
Terry arrived two weeks ago, as a small pup of three weeks old and 1,2 kilos. He had been abandoned in a garbage container. First with bottle milk and now with starter food he is eating well and growing fast. He is handsome, healthy and playful. Terry has already been RESERVED but he will not go until he has had his vaccinations.

Pitufa - adopted June 2018
Pitufa is about one year old. What must have happened to her to look this scared every time something moves? It is clear she has never been inside a house and also that she was tied up because it caused her panic when you put on a collar. With an harness she does want to walk a bit. She is not home-trained and is very scared of cats. But the good news is that her blood test was clear - no illnesses, only severe dehydration and undernourished - and that in her foster home they will try to take away those fears.
She has now put on some weight and is no longer so scared. Slowly with the help of her foster family Pitufa is gaining weight and confidence - even with the cat.

Leona - adopted May 2018
Leona - small female of about 7 kilos and about 1 - 2 years old.
Leona found tied to a lamppost in El Campello. She is a small dog no chip with collar, very clean. Doe you recognize her? Local police has been notified.

Bombon - adopted Apr 2018
Bombón has gone to what we hope will be his forever home. At an age of less than five months he has already lived in several houses: he was abandoned in January and his first adoption did not work out well. We hope that this time it will be definitive. Eli has promised us she will take very good care of Bombón. Bombón and her will share their home with Melanie and Brandy, so Bombón will have a sister to play with. Brandy was adopted with APAC in January 2017.

Chang - adopted Apr 2018
Chang, male, one year old, 7 kilos
We found this little dog and he is not chipped, with some ticks but not looking so bad. He is very scared but he behaved very well at the vet. We have done a blood test and wormed him. We suspect he must have lived in a home once, because of his behaviour. What we don't know if he was abandoned, escaped or got lost. For the moment he is safe with us.

Mia - adopted Dec 2017
Mia, female, 2 years old, very small and cute
Mia is a two year old very small female that was found on the streets in November. Probably she had been thrown out of a car because she still wants to run after cars. She has now been vaccinated and chipped but a few days before her sterilization was planned she came in season. Now she has to stay in the pet hotel away from the male dogs in her previous foster home. She will be sterilized as soon as possible and then will hopefully go to a wonderful forever home.

Maya and pups - adopted 2017
Maya, female, 2 years old, 7 kilos
On Sunday 25th June, while driving from Campello to Busot, we found this poor little dog next to the road. She was very thirsty and full of ticks. No chip and no collar, probably abandoned.
We took her to the vet, she is pregnant and about two years old.
Very sweet and affectionate and suffering from all the ticks that are now starting to fall off, after the treatment. For the moment she will be staying with Bea. She is now called Maya.
Between 10 AM and 2PM on 14th July Maya give birth to seven pups, one of which was dead. The other six seem healthy, they are already drinking with their mother. Maya is a wonderful mother, she has cleaned them one by one and now, after eating and drinking something herself, is lying down calmly with her six pups. In the following days we will present you the six pups, there are three brown ones and three white ones with brown or black spots. We will need your help with names, please send us ideas. For the moment we are happy that all has gone relatively well and that Maya did not have to give birth on the streets (where she was found 2,5 weeks ago).

Jade - adopted Nov 2017
Female, 2 years old, weighs 25 kilos.
Jade was found in a ravine near Rio Park. It was obvious she had recently had pups but despite long searching we could not find them.
She suffers from slight Leishmania but with early treatment that can be handled. She is now settling into a foster home and will be vaccinated and neutered during September. When she has recovered from the sterilization we will looking for a loving new home.

Pumba - adopted Oct 2017
Pumba was noticed walking the streets for 10 days but eventually some kind young people managed to catch him. He is chipped but it was still difficult to make contact with the owner who was away on holiday. It appears that the owner no longer wants this gorgeous Dalmatian and has handed him over to APAC who will now take good care of him and try to find a good permanent home for him. At first he was covered in ticks and fleas but since visiting the vet he is free of these pests and is a healthy dog.
The initial infection in his paw has cleared up beautifully and Pumba has had his vaccinations, been chipped and when he has been castrated he will be ready for adoption - around the end of September. He is a wonderful dog of 1,5 year old, active and sweet who now is looking for a home where they do take good care of him.
